    Hey there,

I didn't grow up in a family either for or against guns, but I just never went shooting unless it was a small cal rifle in Boy Scouts or my buddy's M1. I went to the range a few days ago to shoot my first handgun and now it is in my blood!

This looks like a great place to get information. Glad I joined, and hope I can help in the future...after I learn all your acronyms :):

Welcome from a similar situation. Boy Scouts was my only exposure to firearms growing up. My dad always had a lone security six and a 12 guage but we never took them out.

Now a couple years after graduating Purdue, my uncle had me shoot my first 9mm. I was hooked as well!

    Welcome from Greene Co.
Be careful after you buy your second gun.
If you don't keep them separated, you will end up with a WHOLE room full of guns.
Not a bad thing in itself.
But if you are married, your wife WILL NOT believe in the reproduction thing! She will think you actually paid money for them:D
