This was just brought up on the news, Emmanuel gave the standard "think of the children" response
And they are thinking of their children. A person has a duty and the right to protect the home and children. But not just in the home, anywhere they may travel.:)

History shows that when the government becomes too oppressive, it falls to the will of the people. IL is now getting its History lesson :D

Folks, remember that Legal precedent is shared throughout the US. The Hellar decision sparked the striking of the handgun ban in Chicago.
When the idiots in Crook county came up with their latest BS about only in the home, I postulated that it would only serve to light the fires and keep them under the scrutiny of SCOTUS. As long as the IL socialist politicians keep attempting the back door the Constitution, the more decisions SCOTUS will have to make against them. The more decisions in support of the 2nd Amendment by SCOTUS, the better off the entire Country is.

Join our neighbors' fight and support them, in doing so, we support ourselves. :patriot:

Actually the Chicago legal stragety is brilliant. You know that 90% of the IL counties can't out vote you in the legislature, so you make the most restrictive law you can and wait for the law suit. (Which as you know has taken a LOOOONG time). Then only take away the parts that SCOTUS says you have to, and wait for the law suits. Lather, rinse, repeat. It's not costing Chicago anything, just the people paying taxes. Eventually the return on investment will be too low for the pro-gun side and the law suits will stop, and you end up with the strictest law that will pass consitutional scrutiny, or until the people you disagree with run out of money or desire to move forward.

    Where's the bacon?
Oh, it's brilliant, all right, in the same manner of brilliance as robbing banks because "that's where the money is." or choosing "gun-free zones" to cause mayhem because everyone there is made unable to lawfully defend him- or herself.

    And equally criminal.

There was a time people knew how to deal with theives and similar criminals

but we are more "civilized" now.

I applaud Alan Gura for funding a way in our kinder, gentler society to spit on his hands, hoist the black flag, and begin slitting throats.

    Blessings,
    Bill

Being from Illinois, I can tell you there are plenty of conservatives over there. The problem is a place called Crook (Cook) county. Loaded with public union employees and tax eaters, ruled by idiotic criminal socialist politicians. These people stay in office because they have a big enough base to do so. Add into this mix a city full of lefties, and you have the peoples republik of Illinois. The general assembly is run by this gang, led by Madigan (criminal) and Cullerton (idiot) and Quinn (buffoon). Emanuel (slick arrogant social elitist) no doubt will be a big player as he holds the cabal together.

That may change. With the current budget issues the city and state are having...a lot of those public workers will find themselves unemployed. Rahm already is laying off a bunch of city workers.

We can only hope they continue their foolish fiscal ways until they shed themselves of most of the unions.
