I bet whoever doctored that photo put every bit as much thought, science and effort into it as Hi-Point does there firearms.

Don't knock it, it probably comes NIB for 29.95, is perfectly reliable, and accurate as well.

When I first saw it, I thought it was a Glock 1911.

You know, that would be pretty awesome for Hi-Point if they actually did this.

Hi-Points, whatever else you think of them, work.

If they were to style a frame after the 1911 and let it accept 1911 mags, then slap a blowback system on it from one of their .45 pistols, they may actually have a winner there.

What do you think? Poor man's 1911?

But you still have to work with the lock up angles and such.

With a fixed barrel, blowback "1911" design, they could probably churn the things out and beat even the RIA milspec on price - probably halfway between Hi-Point's pistols and the basic RIA.

Half the reason the Hi-Point is so inexpensive, anyway, is because they don't have to fool with barrel lockup and such.

I think it would be a good move for them.

I've never wrapped my hands around a transvestite but I know the experience would leaved me dirty and ashamed. Of coarse for the money you could be more confident that the tranie will give you your money's worth.

Are you sure? I mean, you write about it with such clarity, I feel like I was there.
