Wife asked me to pick up some chairs at Do It Best Hardware in Plainfield; well you know who's in Plainfield - Plainfield Shooting Supplies :D I had a Marlin 1895S 45-70; I bought it 25 years ago and it's been sitting around not doing much of anything. I put maybe 10 rounds through the gun. I had my eye on a Henry Golden Boy in 22lr ... long story short .. walked out with this baby.

Bob gave me a great deal. Can't wait to shoot it. The Wife said I reminded her of Ralphie from A Christmas Story and his Red Ryder. Yes I was sitting on the floor "playing" with my new toy.

    :rockwoot: For Henry

They're one of the few companies anymore that are 100% US made products. IIRC they get all their raw materials from US suppliers and everything is made in USA!!!!

Nice rifle. I have 2 Win lever guns and 1 Marlin, but those Henrys have the smoothest action I have ever felt on a lever action. No wonder you sat around playing with it. :): If it shoots as well as the ones I have shot you will love it.

Took it out today just to run a few rounds (150) through it. Sights adjust nicely. I have yet to drift the sight for windage; but, with a little Kentucky Windage, no problems hitting pieces of clay pigeons at 100 yards...... man I love this rifle.
