16 round Bullpup 12ga. That would be hard to beat for a HD shotgun.
It may take some getting used to pulling the trigger twice before pumping, but...

Meh only distributed through Cheaper than dirt. I'll pass.
Yup. That's an unfortunate miscalculation by Standard Manufacturing Company, isn't it? I guess they don't pay much attention to the firearms community, and therefore will not get my business either (unless CTD posts a formal apology for the attempted rape of the firearms community first).

I'm normally all about cool new guns, but I see absolutely no purpose to this. It's basically a KSG that's likely heavier, with a weird cadence (boom, boom, rack). The only benefit I can see is that you wouldn't need to flip the tube selector level over to get to the second set of rounds, like you do on the KSG... but does the extra weight and cost justify it?

In all fairness it's a new development and we'll all have to wait until we see where it leads.
All this "tactical" stuff isn't my thing and I have to rely on old guns, old hands, and an old way of doing things I guess.

I like the styling of it, but agree, two trigger pulls to one rack would be confusing, especially if you were in a panic taking fire or something. And Cheaper Than Dirt can go pound sand...

I can see some advantages in this unit for home defense. Consider:
    1. Sixteen rounds of 12ga. Powerful armament.
    2. The bullpup style offers a shorter length that would be helpful in narrow hallways.
    3. Reduction of over penetration, which is a concern for most HD ammo for handgun and long gun.
    4. Training would enable one to learn a new cadence, bang-bang-rack.

The price and the known overcharging for shipping at CTD are the only deterents to purchasing one at this point.

IDK, Cheaper than Dirt has always put a fair price on things, and never done anything to alienate their customers... I used to have screen shots of several of their notable items a while back, I could only find this one though.

not to bash, but it would take a lot for me to give them my money.

I'm kinda digging the shotgun! I cant afford it, but i'd love to have one of the newer politically incorrect offerings i've seen lately.

All of the real, perceived or imagined issues aside...........

$1300 for a pump shotgun. Say it, say it out loud, write it down on a piece of paper, now read it out loud to your friends and family.

thirteen hundred dollars for a pump action shotgun.
