New aluminum "Bumpski" bumpfire stock fits on many firearms via adapters

This BumpFire stock from Fostech Outdoors LLC fits all three of the stamped receiver, semi-automatic versions of the AK47, the AK74 and the Saiga shotguns. It is made from 100 % billeted aluminum, CNC machined and anodized to be a true quality product. It just debuted and they are taking orders and encouraging dealers and distributors. Fostech Outdoors will soon have adapters available for their BumpFire stocks to fit a variety of other rifles such as the AR15, SKS, mini 14, ect.
These adapter bars will allow the bottom half of the BUMPSKI to slide off and will slide back into the other commonly owned semi-automatic rifles and shotguns that you have purchased the adapter bars for. No longer do you have to purchase the entire stock just to have it on more than one rifle.
See more details on the currently selling Bumpski BumpFire stock and info on the upcoming different adapters at the Fostech Outdoors website below…...

    BUMPSKI AK-47 STOCKS]BUMPSKI AK-47 STOCKS

The BUMPSKI is the only patented bumpfire stock on the market since it is covered by my former patent that is now an asset of Fostech Outdoors LLC.
Here's the latest new video Fostech has uploaded at their website of the "Bumpski" stock firing. Fostech flew me to Indiana when we worked out our agreement and along with some of the principle members of Fostech, I'm in this video firing it too from that visit.....

Very soon Fostech Outdoors will also be marketing the Springless AA2 (Akins Accelerator 2) stock which is a springless, isometric, redesign/retrofit of my old Akins Accelerator stocks for the .22 long rifle cartridge Ruger 10/22 rifle. Fostech will also be offering my perforated barrel shroud design as an accessory for the AA2. Look for that in the near future.

inventor & patentee of the bump fire stock patent now an asset of Fostech Outdoors LLC.

This is very interesting... in my comment on MAC's review of the bumpski, I noted that I like that this device looks solid and much less toy-like than the SlideFire Solutions product. Now if an adapter is made, or the bumpski can be converted in some fashion to work with an SA vz.58 this could be a fun accessory for me!

I'd also like to say that I'm very interested in the upcoming AA2. Being able to "blast" away and not spend more than $40 in ammo is very nice! :rockwoot:

They cost $100 more than the Slidefire stock for AR's.

But the Bumpski is machined out of aluminum, not plastic and it already fits all three of the stamped AK47's, stamped AK74's and Saiga shotguns. Plus by using adapters that will be coming very soon, it also will fit rifles like the SKS, mini 14, AR15 and other rifles that adapters will be made for. The Slidefire stock does not have that ability. If you want a Slidefire stock on BOTH your AR15 and your AK, you have to buy TWO Slidefire stocks. With the Fostech Bumpski stock, you only have to buy one stock and one adapter to fit onto both the AK and the AR. So in the long run the Bumpski is actually less expensive.

The springless retro-fitted AA2 bumpfire stocks for the Ruger 10/22 should be on the Fostech website by next week with pictures and videos. Even though Fostech doesn't have them on their website yet, they will take orders for them. For further info call Judd in the marketing and sales dept at Fostech Outdoors.

Is there a bumpski type stock in the works for AR's, or do we have to settle for plastic?

Absolutely. Only it won't be a separate stock. It will be a low cost adapter bar for the Bumpski stock that will allow you to fit it onto your AR15. Plus there will be other adapter bars in the future that will enable your Bumpski stock to fit onto the SKS, the Mini 14 and other rifles in addition to shotguns. It's a very versatile and adaptable stock. The beauty of it is that it is the only patented bumpfire stock on the market and it allows you via adapters to fit it onto a variety of firearms so that you don't have to buy a separate expensive stock to fit onto those other firearms of yours. Simply get the low cost adapter bar and use the Bumpski on a variety of different rifles and shotguns you have. How do you like that? :)

Just returned home yesterday from the Shot Show in Las Vegas. Yet to come are lots of pics and videos of the Bumpski and AA2 bumpfire stocks in operation taken at the range in Vegas.

The spring-less AA2 (Akins Accelerator version 2) bumpfire stock videos of it in operation are up now. It is operated solely by human isometric muscle tension.
    This video says it all......

    [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bxCX3UtqnJQ[/ame]

Here's a peek at an accessory yet to come. A stationary, perforated barrel shroud that the barrel reciprocates back and forth in while the sights remain stationary on the shroud. These pics were taken back in 2006 right after I designed, built and tested the shroud for the first time on an original Akins Accelerator stock of mine. But the shroud will also fit the new springless AA2, giving it that PPSH look or more correctly Italian Beretta sub gun from WW2 look. Have yet to test it with a drum mag. Not in production yet but coming.

And a peek of another not yet available design prototype of mine for a mini MG dress up kit for the Ruger 10/22 that utilizes crank fire operation. No pics yet of my mini thimble thumb crank between the spade grips that will allow you to literally twiddle your thumbs to crank fire it while both your hands remain on the grips. I designed it to be convertible in seconds from a truly water cooled version to a perforated shroud air cooled version and also to fit onto any camera tripod. Can be adapted to fit MG tripods too. When GSG gets their 110 rd drum mags finally imported to the U.S., it will be even more fun to shoot than with 50 rounders.
I've got a design already drawn for a belt fed magazine and a hopper fed belt fed magazine that requires no modifications to the Ruger 10/22, which will really bring out the water cooling abilities of the water cooled version, but it's going to be some time until I finish the prototype belt fed magazine until that one is ready for production. Same belt fed mag principle can be utilized for any magazine fed firearm.

once you get the hang of it you can bump fire most semi autos without any gear. the thing is you cant hit squat that way. its a fun waste of ammo and as expensive as ammo is anymore I'm not sure why one would do this.

Did you watch carefully in the above previously posted AA2 video from time 0:48 to 0:58 where Dave at Fostech was accurately bumpfire shooting the concrete blocks and hitting them with no problem. I can keep them all on a pie plate at 50 yards. But what do I know, I only invented it. ;)

Have you personally tried the experience of bumpfiring the AA2?

Do I get a credit if I send him the old POS he sold me for the 10/22??

Bill Akins burned me once with his 10/22 stock.

Never again will I trust that man. Never AGAIN!

I wound up with a $1000.00 stock that is now redendered inert and I don't give a :poop: what excuse he has for me this time as to why he wasn't the guy who screwed me. It was called te "Akins Stock" and I think that m eans Bill is responsible. Period. If he indeed does have a BATFE Letter this time, remember, the BATFE is known to change its mind once enough of these have been sold to make it hurt. This was part of what happened to me but only part. Seems he submitted one thing and produced something else then flouted a letter that was worthless and was rather had to decode like many of them are and assure us all he had gotten things approved when in fact he had not. Once he made a boatload of money, he left the company and was unavailable to sue. Nice work if you can find it.

    CAVEAT EMPTOR FOLKS!
If it seems to good to be true, it probably is too good to be true.

Sir, you have no idea of what you are talking about, your statements are inaccurate and untrue. When you come off that Gilda Radner rant, and realize once you read the truth how ignorant of the facts you are, please look into the camera, smile and like Gilda say: "Never Mind".

You are obviously not aware that Akins Group Inc had TWO letters of approval from the BATFE available for download at our former website and at the time we were selling the accelerator stock, it was definitely BATFE approved. The first letter of approval we got was a bit ambiguous. In that letter we could not be sure if the examiner was approving the stock because HE couldn't seem to get it to bumpfire, or if he was approving it due to its method of operation. So my former partner called the BATFE examiner at tech branch and asked for another letter giving better clarification. We got that second letter and it said that the examiner at BATFE tech branch was fully aware of it function and method of operation and that he was approving it based on its method of operation. It was one shot per single function of the trigger. That was tech branch examiner Richard Craze. So any ambiguity that was present in the first letter, was immediately clarified to be a full approval in the second letter. Based on that we sold to the public. A year and a half after giving us TWO letters of approval, without anything in the law changing and in contravention of NFA congressional law of one shot per single function of the trigger, suddenly the acting director of the BATFE (Michael J. Sullivan) with the stroke of a pen and without us violating any laws, suddenly decided to rescind the BATFE's approval. I, nor my former partner "screwed you" (as you put it), the BATFE did. You aren't the only one, the BATFE did it to EVERYONE and caused the destruction and eventual dissolution of AKins Group Inc. So if you want to blame someone for the loss of use of your stock, blame the BATFE not me nor my former partner. It shouldn't be so difficult for you to understand that I nor my partner were responsible for that, and if you can't understand it, or refuse to understand it, then you are ignoring the facts.

Without you knowing anything at all about my finances you claim I made a "boatload of money" and then left the company. Not only is that untrue, it is a lie. I don't owe you any information about my finances, but at the same time I don't have anything to hide and I will tell you EXACTLY what a HUGE BOATLOAD OF MONEY (you claim) I made. I invented the first dedicated stock for bumpfiring in 1996. I patented it in 2000. When the BATFE rescinded their approval and the company could no longer sell any stocks with springs installed in them due to an unconstitutional BATFE ruling, that was in 2006. By that time both my wife (as secretary treasurer) and myself (as Chairman of the board) had made a COMBINED total amount of....wait for it Mr know it all.....wait for it.....$17K. That's it. $17K for ten years of my life. Since I invented it in 1996, and it cost me $10K to patent it, and since we had only sold an initial run of 148 wooden stocks and then it took about 6 months to get molds made for plastic injected ones, we probably sold in the neighborhood of 400 stocks all total. So the "boatload of money" you ignorantly claim I made, was $17K over ten years. Yeah I could buy a resort with that couldn't I? Lol.

You ignorantly claim I left the company and was "unavailable to be sued". That is untrue and another ignorant lie. In fact I was the last surviving officer of Akins Group Inc. It was my former partner who resigned and left the company, not me. I was in til the end and dissolution of the company. At first Akins Group Inc got two top firearm attorneys to try and get the BATFE to overturn their rescission, but the BATFE would not. That took over 60K out of the meager coffers of the company to pay for attorneys Mark Barnes and Steven Halbrook (you may have heard of Halbrook, he was the attorney who argued Heller in front of the SCOTUS). They were not cheap and when AGI funds ran low, and we could no longer afford Halbrook's fees, he dropped us and we had no choice but to abide by the illegal, unconstitutional ruling of the BATFE. Or would you prefer we were "WACO'ed?

My former partner who had as much authority in the company (50/50) as I did, would not agree to let the company actually sue the BATFE because he was afraid of being harassed by the BATFE in his other personal firearms businesses. So the company languished in limbo for a year and a half because my hands were corporately tied, and with no product selling, and the slow ebbing away of corporate funds due to keeping the company existing took a toll on the corporate finances too. But it was mainly the legal fees that emptied the corporate account.

Then almost a year and a half later, my former partner resigned, that untied my hands to enable me to file suit against the BATFE, FOR YOU, and everyone else including myself. The last of the (almost defunct at that time) Akins Group Inc finances went to pay filing fees to sue the BATFE. When my partner resigned, he put all the Akins Group Inc inventory in a storage pod in Oregon, sent me his resignation letter and stock certificates, and told me that if I wanted the inventory I would have to come from Florida to Oregon and get it. You see he had the molds and was producing the stock in Oregon, and selling the stock from Oregon to customers all over the U.S.

So with very meager funds left in AGI's coffers, and as the very last surviving officer of Akins Group Inc (AGI), I flew to Oregon, rented a Budget rental box truck, and got the stock inventory out of the pod, went to the mold facility and picked up the molds, went to another business to pick up some jigs, and for the next six days I drove home to Florida, corporate funds were so low at that point that I slept on the front seat of the truck in truck stops to save money on motel rooms. For six days I drove and for six days I slept on the front seat of that truck. Does that sound like something someone would do that had a "boatload of money" as you put it?

When I arrived home, I unloaded the truck and stored all the inventory and molds in my shop. Then I called my attorney and told him Akins Group Inc was almost out of funds (remember funds were so low I slept in the truck for six days), and instructed him to dissolve Akins Group Inc. Since I was the last surviving officer of the company (contrary to what you ignorantly stated), my attorney also made me the "successor in interest" of Akins Group Inc which made the inventory and molds my personal possession. I was available to be sued as the last surviving officer of Akins Group Inc and I was available to be sued as the successor in interest of Akins Group Inc. I was the ONLY one left if anyone wanted to sue Akins Group Inc, or its successor in interest (again contrary to the ignorant lie you spouted). But no one did, and if they had, I could prove that at the time we were selling we had TWO BATFE letters of approval. As such, we were not responsible for the BATFE ruling rescinding our previous approval. So no one would have a legal leg to stand on if they had sued AGI or me as the successor in interest. Besides, there was nothing left of value in the company but molds, some tables, a multi line phone system, a demonstration t.v., some spare parts and a bunch of stocks. That was all that was left of corporate assets that then became mine when I became the successor in interest for the dissolving company. When AGI dissolved, the patent I had licensed to AGI for the life of the company, completely escheated back to me personally. So my "boatload of money" (that you untruthfully said I ran off with), for ten years of my life, was a grand total of $17K for my wife and I COMBINED, some tables, a multi line phone system, some spare parts, molds, a jig, some packing boxes and a bunch of stocks.

YOU lost the use of your $1K stock, we lost the company and all funds the company had on legal fees. Again, you want to blame someone? Blame the BATFE because that is where the blame lies.

Finally having my hands corporately untied, as the "successor in interest" for AGI, that status enabled me to file suit against the BATFE and I found a wonderful (and rare) attorney who would take the case on a contingency basis because the only final funds left in Akins Group Inc went to the Federal District Court case's filing fees. After that, I had to pay the filing fees of the other appeal case myself personally. So THERE's where your "boatload of money" went Warthog, to the attorneys and three (counting my appeal to SCOTUS) cases I brought against an out of control BATFE who decided to make up a ruling out of thin air when my stock was legal according to the NFA stipulations of one shot per single function of the trigger. Now if I was the person you try to paint me to be, I would have just run off with my "boatload of money" and not sued the BATFE. Both the Federal District court judge and the three judge panel of the 11th circuit court of appeals, were Clinton appointees, and they just rubber stamped everything unconstitutional and in Violation of the NFA and the administrative procedures act that the BATFE did. The game is rigged.

You say you would "Never trust me again". Well even though I did not violate anyone's trust and it was the BATFE who arbitrarily made up a ruling that does not conform to one shot per single function of the trigger and it is they who should be blamed fully, your statement is inaccurate because I am not the one selling the bumpfire stocks that this thread is about. That would seem to be something else that you do not know or else you wouldn't bring me and my old company up in this thread that is supposed to be about bumpfire products that are sold by Fostech Outdoors, of which I am not a shareholder, but simply sold my patent and inventory to. Further, if in the current (2013) tyrannical attack on our 2nd amendment, the BATFE creates a "ruling" (nothing more than an agency OPINION, not law) or indeed state legislatures or even congress violates the NFA or our 2nd amendment and makes some guns, magazines, or even ALL magazines and guns illegal, who are you going to blame then? Is it my fault for that too when the BATFE or congress decides to violate either the NFA or 2nd amendment?

Blame who is responsible, and concerning the original Akins accelerator stocks of 2006, that would be the BATFE, not me. At the time we were legally selling bumpfire stocks and had full BATFE approval via TWO letters of approval, the second letter being definitive that we were BATFE approved on the method of operation of my original accelerator stock. I am sure that Fostech Outdoors will continue to sell SPRINGLESS isometric tension bumpfire stocks as long as they legally can. Just like Remington, Winchester, Glock, Mossberg and all the other firearm companies will continue to sell firearms in the U.S. as long as it is legal. If a government agency such as the BATFE or congress changes the law so that none of those companies can sell in either certain states or can't sell previously legal to sell and own items, such as certain guns and magazines, are you going to blame those companies Warthog? Use your head man.

Years later, in 2011, Fostech Outdoors approached me concerning licensing my patent. I sold my patent and inventory to Fostech Outdoors and it is THEY who are manufacturing and selling the SPRINGLESS bumpfire stocks that this thread is about. I am out of the bumpfire business and now Fostech Outdoors owns my former patent. I am not a member of the Fostech Outdoors company although we are friends. Fostech manufactures the Bumpski stock for the AK and Saiga shotguns, the DefendAR15 stock for AR platforms and the Springless Akins Accelerator version 2 for the Ruger 10/22 rifle. I am a member of close to 100 firearms forums across the internet. I would not be posting about Fostech Outdoors products if I was a employed or a shareholding member of Fostech, because most sites will not allow you to do that and will call it advertising and require you to pay an advertising fee before letting you write about your own products. But again, I am not a member of the Fostech company, I'm just friends with them and they bought my patent and inventory. So I can post about them just as anyone else can. Fostech has several BATFE letters of approval for isometric tension bumpfire stocks available for download at their website
You can wonder all you want if the BATFE will ever rescind those approvals too. But if they do, Fostech will be just as blameless as I was. Neither myself back in 2006 nor Fostech Outdoors currently have any control over what the BATFE does or what congress does. At the time AGI was selling the original accelerator bumpfire stocks, they were legal. At THIS time that Fostech Outdoors is selling SPRINGLESS, isometric tension, bumpfire stocks, they are also legal. No one can be blamed if a government agency creates a ruling out of thin air or if congress changes the law or violates our 2nd amendment. The blame lies on who is responsible, and in my case in 2006, it was the BATFE.

And here's something else you obviously didn't know Warthog. Many many years after Akins Group Inc dissolved, at my request, Fostech Outdoors has agreed to retro-fit any former Akins Group Inc's customer's stocks to modify it to a springless Akins Accelerator version 2 stock,...and I am picking up the tab for that conversion. Call them and ask. So for all your ignorant blustering untrue statements about me, does my picking up the tab and doing that for former AGI customers when I am under no legal obligation to do so, sound like someone who was only interested in "screwing customers" (as you put it). If that were true, all these years later when I don't have to do that, why would I? Because I am a man of honor and you sir, are an ignorant blowhard who has no idea what took place and ignorantly and uninformed spouts off at a firearms forum unsuccessfully trying to impugn my integrity and honor without knowledge nor evidence of any kind.

Finally, this thread is not about me nor the original Akins Accelerator stocks that were produced by the long dissolved Akins Group Inc. This thread is about the current bumpfire stock products of Fostech Outdoors. So why would you ignorantly bring me and the original Akins Accelerator stocks up in the first place when this thread was about an entirely different company's bumpfire products.

Now look into the camera Gilda, smile, and stammer out: "Oh, that's different, I didn't understand,.......never mind".

And that I suppose, is supposed to make your insults and ignorant lying statements all okay.

The next time you seek to demonize someone or impugn their honor, make sure you have the knowledge and facts of what transpired. I am easy to contact. Anyone can contact me via pm or my e mail of Akins_Bill@yahoo.com

I have Former customers of AGI contact me and thank me for picking up the dime for Fostech retro-fitting their original AA stocks to AA2 stocks. Several have written online how much they appreciate me doing that all these years later when I am under no legal obligation to do so.
If you or anyone has any issue they want to discuss with me, take it to PM's or e mail me.

Now go call Fostech Outdoors and ask for Judd, and get the info on sending your original AA stock to them for them to retro-fit it to a springless AA2 so you can have use of it again,....that I am picking up the tab of that retro-fit for former AGI customers (YOU). Then tell me and everyone else what a bad person I am again.

In the meantime, let this thread get back to its original subject matter of the Fostech Outdoors bumpfire stocks.

The guys at Fostech are good people. I've spent some time with them both here locally and was fortunate enough to get an invite to their Private event at The Range 702 in Vegas.

I've shot the Bumpski on an AK, and own one for my Saiga 12, I've shot the DefendAR on a 5.56 and a 9mm, I've shot the AA2, and have shot the Origin 12. They all work as advertised.
