And so the odyssey begins of 870 ownership, we start with a simple premise: 1 is none, 2 is one and a bucket of spare parts equals three.

My boys are 17, 14 and 10. The 10 yo will probably be the one hunting with me the most.

This one is for me, he gets the single action 20g.

Good choice on the 870 express, thats the first shotgun I bought. Wish I got the combo like you did, I had to buy 20in slug barrel seprate. I installed the mag extension tube, gun now hold 7 in the tube. For Home defense, which is why I originally bought it, I use 00 buck.

I also bought an 870 express right before the election for Home defense because it was on sale at Cabela's they didn't have the combo then. I looked online after that and saw that Remmington sold a Home Defense Barrel Kit that included a short barrel a stock and mag extension I looked this week at the Remmington website and couldn't find it does anyone know if it is still available
