I have a P22 but kinda small for me.
Want one for just me, for weekend fun and host a can.
    I played with the SR22, GSG-1911, M&P 22, Mk3/ 22/45
Likes from best to not so much.
    M&P 22, -1 mag can't find extras + 12 round mag FU CA
    SR22 - not threaded + 2 mags
    GSG-1911 - not SA/DA, can't reach slide release + 1911
    22/45 -don't like the feel of the grip + It's a Ruger

All of them are at my local shop
    M&P22 $349
    SR22 $335
    GSG $335
Ruger didn't really look that much (sorry)

So is the SR22 price + extra mag worth the cost to thread the barrel?
Or the the M&P22 that feels oh so nice worth reloading over and over and over..............

+1 for the M&P22. I've owned every major model .22lr handgun on the market, the M&P is my current and personal favorite. You can't go wrong with any Ruger Mark X pistol though and I'll likely own another. 12 round magazine gets annoying to load, but eventually the mags will go to moderately reasonable prices, or you'll see them used.

I'm quite happy with my Ruger SR22. I only feed it bulk-pack .22lr, and it has never had a problem with it. I haven't measured my accuracy with it lately, but I started out of the box with all shots in an 8" circle at 7 yards. I can tell that my accuracy improves the more I practice with the firearm and get to know it.

Voting for the GSG 1911! I'm up to 2000 rounds through mine and she's running strong. I put the aluminum guide rod in from our site supporter becasue it's cheap and not a bad idea. But I haven't had an issue with it and love shooting it. I have 3 mags and they wind up empty too fast. :):

My Ruger MKll is really nice. The 22/45 lll I have is not as nice. Trigger is not the best. My MKll trigger is crisp and has little take up right out of the box. I bought it about 22 years ago. Only work on this pistol was to change the grip panels to a Houge thumbrest style. Other than that its bone stock and eats any .22lr ammo I feed it.

edit: I did change the grip panels on the 22/45. Helped the feel of the pistol. Brownells sells plenty of parts to make it a really nice pistol. The grip panels came off of a RIA Tactical. I didn't have to worry about buggering them up fitting them to the 22/45.

I have a MK III 22/45 and a GSG 1911 and haven't had a problem with either one after about 1,500 rounds through the 22/45 and 700 through the GSG. My vote would be the 22/45.

I'll call my guy tomorrow and see if he can get me a MK 2 or 3 Not the 22/45
The MK II lower I had some time ago, felt great in my hand. But couldn't see spending that much on a pac lite upper so I sold it!

Yes a MKII not bad to take apart but a pain put it back together.
P22 is not bad but not good. I have a old one with no guide rod stud tool.
I hate having all these choices. But most likely will be a Ruger SR22 or MK iii
