Need some Help with my 1894/94

I picked this gun up in an estate sale and lets just say it needs help. I am not sure where to even start or if it is even worth trying to bring back. It has some awesome looking wood and a neat engraving on it so I said why not and bid. Here are some pictures. Your thoughts and suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

What's wrong with it, or what is/isn't it doing?

What the heck did they do to the end of the barrel?

It is missing the mag tube, that is the only major issue. That is also why the end of the barrel looks like that.

I am a Colt guy and know nothing about Winchesters. This is dates to 1898 so 115 years old and I was drawn to the engraving and awesome wood so I bought it but know I am in over my head with getting it back together.

Now for the honest but sad part I don't even know what all the parts I need are. Maybe it would be best if I just sold this to someone that could treat it as it should be....
