Need help. Shooting to the right and down.

First of all a little about me. I'm 34 years old and have been shooting handguns since I was 10 years old. I got my LTCH when I turned 18. From 18 to 21 years old I have gone to professional training probably close to 100 hours. From 22 to 34 years old I've done a lot of self training what I would call more real world events like shooting from sitting, laying on the ground shooting, shooting around barricades, shooting from sitting in a car and a lot of moving and shooting.

All of this has been done with the same gun a Glock 19 Gen3 9mm. If I had to guess the round count would be near 18,000 to 20,000 I never really like the way the gun has felt in my hand but I shot it great.

Just resonantly I found a gun that feels great in my hand and like everything about it. The grip, DA/SA trigger, no safety and the factory sights. It is a CZ P-07 Duty.

So far I have put 550 rounds throw it with no functioning problem.

The problem that I am have is I'm shooting low and to the right at 21 feet. I'm a left handed shooter. I've had four people shot it and they all have been on target. Two of these people would be what I would classify them as an inexperience shooters and they were on target too.

Here are my target from my last range trip. The first 5 targets are the CZ. I would draw from the holster, first shot DA and then four shots at SA. These shots were slow fired. I would say with in 8 seconds from drawing out of holster to the last round fired.

This target is me shooting the glock. This was faster I would say with in 4 to 5 seconds from drawing out of holster to the last round fired.

So what am I doing wrong.

    update info.
I have notices this when I do my dry fired practice. When I draw from the holster and drive the pistol forward my NPOA is way off. I don't think I would even hit that target at 21 feet.

I cover target with front post with both guns. The glock front post is much higher.

The Glock Gods are punishing you?

CZ sights are setup slightly different, I think, from Glocks. Play around with your POA a bit. I put my front sight dot over my intended target. I read somewhere that other guns POA is different.

In addition to the diagnostic chart LSB posted, check the height of the front sight post on your new pistol. Remember changes in elevation (in this case the height of the post) will be opposite of that of changes at the rear. Ie: Rear up equals POI will raise/Front Up equals POA will lower.

OP are you used to covering your target with the front post or do you use the pumpkin on a post?

Just comparing the frame ergonomics visually, it looks like you are suffering more from muscle memory than anything else. The hold angle of the Glock, being what you are so used to looks like it would be different enough to cause your shots to break lower.
I have shot many glocks (i dont own any though) and like you, like the way they shoot, but don't like the feel so much. I'm much more comfortable with my Springfields and 1911s.

Without seeing you shoot, I think I agree with Stschil. You've shot another gun for years that has different ergonomics than your previous weapon.
Solution is either to move your POA, or put in more practice.

That's just my opinion, worth what it costs.

OP if you left handed and shooting low right it is more then likely trigger. You are jerking the trigger. Unload and go into dry practice mode.

I have an M&P that I completely missed a 9 inch plate at 15 feet last weekend. Trigger, trigger, trigger. I dry fired a couple of times and bam right in the middle.

I have never had a problem picking up someone's else's gun and getting it on target with a few shots. This CZ is challenging me. 550 rounds later and my targets look the same as the first day I shot it. I'm happy with the groups but not the POA.

Maybe it's not meant to be :(

You can pick up a bore sighter (about 30.00) and on a bench you can see where the barrel is pointing and where the sights are pointing. You should be able to adjust sights to match the bore.
U tube has lots of videos on sighting in your pistol.

I had A FNX9 That I had and could not shoot to save my Arse. I could nail the first DA shot but hard telling where the next shot would be. I loved that gun but could not shoot it. I have went back to Glock and I am not looking back. I shhot my little G26 much better with out even thinking about it. Some guns are just not made to shoot well in certain hands. Jim
