That's one thing that got me curious. I'm having as much fun with it as everyone else and think he deserves the bad publicity he's getting...but why did his lie get so much attention and other prominent figures have had their lies exposed and then...nothing? I asked that in the office last night and one guy brought up the point we all expect politicians to lie so we just shake our heads and call it normal, but when you're using a tag line about being a trusted source of news and get caught in a lie the irony is just too good to pass up.

I would agree with that assessment. You expect a politician to lie. What would be truly remarkable is if it were an offense that would remove them from office.
