I was reading a news article earlier today and noticed this 1911 with a frame I've never seen before. Who makes this 1911?
Or is it part of the grips?

I believe you are asking about a Safari Arms frame, of which is now Olympic Arms. The frame is cast with that triggerguard, fingergroove, and raised checkering.

Not sure I like that grip.
I like the slide cuts though.
Obviously anybody that carries a gun with a spider on it must be a bad ass...

I haven't found a 1911 I didn't like. Some I've liked better than others though. I don't own any really top end 1911's. Of those I do own the Kimber ultra carry II and the Ruger SR1911 are my favorites.

if memory serves me right, a lot of people didnt like the grip frame, and ended up grinding off that finger grove/grip enhancer/blister maker what ever you call it.

Safari Arms sold 1911 styled like that also. They were a greatly controllable grip, but uncomforatable and much shooting would leave my finger sore.

    Earth and you?
Um..... call me crazy, I don't like it. Slick grips? Finger groove for aiding in control, never thought any 1911 I've ever owned or shot was uncontrollable! Looks like something out of a video game.
