My wife has always been reluctantly accepting of my firearms (she is an accomplished bow shooter and would rather shoot that)...
She never became interested in my guns because the semi's were too hard for her to rack the slide and our revolvers had a heavy trigger pull. Both kept her uncomfortable with the idea of having a gun she couldn't use easily...
A couple weeks ago, we spent several hours at Midwest in Mishawaka (thanks Sharon for your patience with us). I believe my wife handled every revolver in the store (some many times) before deciding on the S&W 642.
Today was her first opportunity to actually fire the 642. She loves it... She said it felt great in her hands and didn't beat her up to fire it. She left the range pretty excited. Very good grouping for first time with this gun. (For the first time, she said she actually had fun).
I never pushed her to own a firearm, she took her sweet time (been married 30+ years). Now if I can get her to join INGO...
