    Really? Anyone know if this is limited to recent lots? I ask because a lot of people fired a lot of Federal XM193 over the years [1] (including myself) and this is the first I'm hearing of it. So, I'm wondering if it's a recent lot or lots. If it were a systemic problem, one would think we'd be hearing about many more blown rifles.

    Same here, I have quite a bit of XM193 American Eagle ammo, (mostly 2-3 years old now) and I've never had any issues.

    My most recent Federal ammo purchase was a box of XM855, however I've not used any of it yet.

    Looks like the slam-fire I had with my Sig 516 a few years back.
    Your lucky you weren't hurt worse your rifle can always get fixed.
    I'd call and make a complaint about the ammo, could have been a raised primer.
    Sig ended up changing out the entire upper with a 2nd generation

    Since the gun didn't double and the lugs are engaged, I don't believe this could be a slamfire.
