Picked up the Benchmade 300SN flipper (a belated father's day present to me).
It's replacing my Spyderco Manix 2 as my EDC blade.
The knife retails for $175 but I was able to get it new on eBay for $120.
It's my first flipper and I'm liking it. There are 4 opening options: The thumb studs work just fine (hey look, ma, no hole); you can retract the AXIS nut and flip the knife.. The knife also open well with a gravity flip (blade toward the ground and a quick push down); But I find myself using the flipper for the most part.
I'm quite impressed with the "AXIS® locking mechanism" very smooth. The knife opens and closes much more easily than my Manix.
The color you see in some web base pics isn't quite true. The above I took is close (at least on my monitor) but the link below contains very good examples of the look.
