WooHoo!! Filled out the application online last Thursday, June 17th. Chose the L1 option and went downtown last Friday, the 18th to get the electronic fingerprints. I went straight from there to the Hendricks County Sheriff's department and paid the $50. The lady there told me it was taking about 10 weeks. I came home from work today, June 25th, and it was in the mail box. Exactly 1 week!! :) ...:)....:).....:):

sweet, I should have went the L1 option, I did not realize it would speed things up so much, I applied June 10th and have heard nada...

Yeah, you wont for three months or so. I applied on May 17th. Nothing so far. I dont expect anything till late August.

As with everyone else who didnt do L1, I really regret not doing so. At least with a lifetime we wont have to deal with this again!

Pardon my ignorance but what is the L1 method? I am exempt from having to have one but I did a lifetime in April. My old one expired in Sept.09 My wife works at our PD and did a check on the status. She said hers and mine were approved Friday. Still haven't got them though.

L1 is the electronic method of sending fingerprints to the ISP. You do your paper work online, go to the L1 place, do your L1 prints, bring the remaining paperwork to the police station, they check it, then you send it to the ISP. The turn around is 1-2weeks then.
