I put the lights and controller on the porch Sunday night, sometime between 8 and 10 PM.
Sister in law made this sign for me and put it up by 1 AM.
    She did good work.
I was using my Christmas sign, but she wanted it to be a Halloween sign.
I think she did a GREAT job.

And here's a front view during the daylight. As mentioned, it's missing the "O" mouth. Maybe tomorrow I'll put that up.

And here it is from the back.
I still have to cover the unused lights.
The gray box on the top is the controller. It has the 16 plugs that go to the outputs. It's basically a complicated light switch.
The gray box on the bottom contains the Whole House Transmitter, and the Director. The Director is the brain that tell the controller what to do.

Wow, those are some advanced decorations. Very cool stuff Act. :yesway:

I need to get the camera out and take a decent video.
But I was going to wait till I got the backup singers made. I guess I postponed too long this year.
The 3 panels are made. Just need to put the lights in them.

Also, you might like my Christmas display.
Though.. I got rid of Photobucket, so my instruction pictures are gone from the thread :(

    Holy poop.
I worked my tail off. I got the one face done. JUST ONE.
Okay. I thought I had finished it. I forgot the "O" mouth.
So I'll have to do that tomorrow.

But the face is tie wrapped to my porch.
    5 songs are singing.
The one face is doing the lead role.

A bush is in the way, looks like the corner of the mouth is messed up.

This one's quieter, because I stepped out of the car to get the bush out of the way.

Well, because I no longer use photobucket, most of the pics here don't show up.
Sooner or later I'll put them on Imgur.

But for now, the display is up.
    I've added some rope lights.
I bought a new transmitter. Works a lot better. The other one barely covered in front of the house. The new one can be heard all the way around the block. :)
But, tomorrow I need to mount the transmitter in a new box. It wouldn't fit in the other box. :xmad:

Also, next couple days, I want to put lights up for the 2nd "face", a back up singer.
The program is already done for 4 singers. So I just need to put the lights on the board.

2nd Halloween singing face is up.
Looks better. In fact, the display now looks twice as good.

Of course, I didn't think to put the camera battery on the charger, till tonight.

And I went to make a short video with the cell, and of course, it died.

So, looks like I will film tomorrow.

Okay. Here's the most recent videos.
Yup. I didn't notice the focus was a bit off, till I was done.
And I'm too lazy to rerecord and edit.
    :)

Since most of my previous pictures were deleted..

To make one of the "singing faces".
    I'm using 4'x4' pegboard, framed with 1"x2".
Painted black because I just want the lights to show.
I use electrical tape in different colors to mark the different "mouths".
It doesn't stick real well, but easier to change something while deciding where everything goes.
Then, pull the tape back and drill the holes big enough for the base of the light.
After one color is drilled, pull bulb out, push from backside through hole, insert bulb from front to lock it in.
Leave string plugged in, to make sure bulb is all the way in. Otherwise you have to troubleshoot ALL of them, instead of what you just did.

Each color of tape represents a different output the controller can turn on/off to make it look like the mouth is moving.

The orange is the "O" mouth. Incomplete because of all the tape. I just marked the edges. When the other colors are drilled and filled, it will then be worked on.
Also, the blue mouth corners. Same thing.
