My 2008 P&Y Deer

Received my official score today. 145 1/8" Gross & 135 6/8" Net......Although nets are for fishing!

I killed him October 28, 2008 in Hendricks County with a 2007 Hoyt Vectrix.

Thanks to Mike Neilson of Danville.....my official P&Y scorer. Also thanks to my 3 year old for holding the rack and making it look even more huge then it already was!!!

Oct 2006- Saw him 1 time at 800 yards during bow season. Didn't see him during gun season.

Oct 2007- Missed him at 35 yards in 18mph wind during bow season. That same week two of my buddies missed him during the same kind of weather. That week we dubbed him "Lucky". Didn't see him during gun season.

Oct 2008- Got him at about 15 yards after watching him work towards me for 40 minutes. One year and three days to the day I missed him in 2007.

Best part is that I believe he left some "little luckies" around the farm. I got these pic's in August a mere 25 yards from where I shot him!

I killed my first deer with a bow in November 2007. It was a nine pointer, probably scores 125.

Bowhunting....its addictive.

I have 2 real nice bucks on film from scoutin this past summer prolly close to 140" deer. Didn't have any luck gettin on them this season, but there still out there (at least I hope). I did take a big doe to help feed the family (140lbs field dressed). Thats a dandy you got there !

How old was he, was he any bigger in 06 or 07 or was he as bout as big as he was ever gonna get?

I would guess he was 6 yoa or older. He was actually probably 10" bigger last year.
