Very nice build! Always fun. In fact, I built one by doing the stuff you did, + some machine work on the bolt and bolt pinning. It gets to be crazy.
I had this super long 32x scope on mine. I didn't buy a stock, I re-did mine, and I also bedded it.
It was so accurate it was boring so I tore it down and sold the barrel, scope, and the bolt release, remade a stock 10/22, sold it and bought a really nice stainless deluxe stock model.
The nice thing is since the parts are drop in, I could use my fancy internal parts on my stainless. Shoots very nicely.

As for a scope... Buy a Mueller APV... You won't be disappointed.
