That doesn't look li,like, an optic mount, but a mount for match grade iron sights.....like a Redfield Palma sight....

What caliber is it and how's the barrel? I might be interested in it if you decide to part with it.

My mistake. I thought it might be similar to a Williams scope Mount.

I will check the caliber and barrel later today and get back to you. My plan to sell it is dependent on the value of it. Any ideas for values on these type rifles. You don't see these very often.

Yeah. That’s definitely someone’s target rifle. Probably a more modern manufacture. The mule ear is kind of like an underhammer, straight shot for the flame so quicker lock time than a side hammer.
