Ok so I'm looking into buying a Mosin Nagant, ive heard some mixed reviews on them. Tell me your thoughts? whats a good price to pay? how reliable are they?
all the mosins i have are reliable, function good and ammo is still pretty cheap. you may have to play with the sight for accurate shooting, but all in all never had a problem. the short rifles do have more recoil so be prepared
Mine has been 100% reliable and you should be able to pick one up for around $100 +/-. Surplus ammo is fairly cheap. It's one of my favorite rifles to shoot.
Why not? Dont ever pay over 100$ for one. You can find them locally for 80-100$
Dont fall for this 70$ off now 120$ ****. Thats a huge rip off. Gun shows will also rip you off most of the time. 150$ without the standard mosin swag.
You need to go to Bradis, was in Indy today and went through them all, they had a couple of the more desirable MN's on there rack, like a 43 Tula Ex-sniper, a PM marked 38 Tula, and a low-wall reciever 43 Tula.
I had a 91/59 carbine for a short while. If you want a cheap bolt action rifle, they fit the bill. Other than that, the rifle did nothing for me personally.
