We’re living in a post-Christian culture now. There is no fear of God. If there were, I doubt we’d be seeing much of what we’re seeing celebrated this month celebrated.

You’re not wrong. Nietzsche's warning about the death of God, is coming true. Religion and faith were the foundation of moral values. We’ve come to see that instinct overridden, and what replaced it is an existential threat.

    Nature abhors a vacuum.
Remove God and/or morals... and something will fill it.

This does not mean EVERYONE has to be religious.

Humans will worship something. Something will always rule and something will always be worshipped. If it’s not the God it will be a god or an idol or a person or even one’s own self (however that manifests).

There is nothing new under the sun.

Depends I guess, how we're defining worship. I've seen some definitions say to elevate to most important. Obviously if someone doesn't regard god as most important, they regard something else as most important. That thing can be a sense of morals, good or bad. Can also be a person.

I like the way Act put it, more in terms of morals, and is IMHO the crux of the problem. One doesn't have to be religious to have morals.

It's probably true. But Jim Jordan and other Republicant's in Congress need to spend their time figuring out how to defeat ClownWorld™ instead of figuring out what kind of political theater will keep the donations coming in. They need a plan.
