I'm not one to blame a victim of a crime like this, but having drinks...with another man's wife...in his house...without his knowledge is kind of positioning yourself for a bad situation. Again, not laying the blame on the victim, but this could have easily been avoided with a little restraint. Messing with another man's wife is one of the biggest "Guy Code" violations there is. Dude's should know better. :twocents:

Agree...For the record, the victim was having wine with the shooters wife at the wifes mothers house. Doesn't sound like the mother in law was there......so they were meeting alone, except it sounded like the 2 yr.old might of been there, or was at least with the shooter when he arrived. Wonder how he knew they were there.....police said they didn't think anything romantic was going on.....?.....well the only survivor capable of saying that is the shooters wife.....and we don't know what all was said when the shooter entered the house before shooting, doubt if she was having a fling she is going to admit it now....if something wasn't going on yet, it was going to......my guess is the husband suspected something.

When that ''chemical reaction" involves a bottle ...

.... of wine and potential mucous-swapping, a .357 is definitely called for. "Crime of passion." But he only pistol-whipped her. Premeditation? Took too long to think. Were they clothed? What was the position of the bodies & blood on the kitchen table? They were "friends from the studio?" Meeting at her mother's house, not a motel? Hmmm, looking more like a tryste gone sour. When she swears, she becomes a precious possession, sorry Roscoe, and when she lays out her bacon for other meat, she breaks a contract and some guys go nuts. Guys have imprecise chemical reactions, too. THIS was quite a predictable one. Hubby knew where to find them.
Some how men have to learn that a wife is not possession.
A wife is a friend, a companion and someone that has their back.

If a woman, or a man do not meet these 3 simple requirements, they need not be together. Of course there has to be a chemical reaction in there someplace.......just sayin'

Maybe the victim was not messing around with the woman.
Maybe he had no intentions of doing so.

But he put himself in a questionable spot.

    Or did he?

Maybe she lured him there to try to start something.

Maybe she had been unfaithful before, causing the husband to suspect, and the TV show host was just in the wrong place at the wrong time.

The only person who knows.........I bet she won't say anything incriminating of her behavior.

Knowing folks from that area said that the couple had split up. They did not even live together at the time. In fact they lived in two seperate towns 15 miles apart. By law she wa still his wife but in the process of filing for a divorce.

I do not know the deceased's marital status.

"Tell all that to the shooter"

Guy killed was married and father of 2 preteen children. Per local newspaper. Sharing a bottle of wine at the woman's mother's home at 10:30 PM. Hmmm?

Seperated or not, until that divorce decree is final, they were still married.

And I agree with Effingham's quote above....You never rub another mans rhubarb!

As far as getting popped goes, meh....He made his bed, theres not decency in drinking wine with another mans wife alone at 1030pm. I won't lose any sleep over knowing this happened. Lawful or not.

Prayers for the deceased families! There's no room for messing with another man's wife. Reguardless if they were seperated or not... But there's also no room for jealously either and now that 2yr old boy doesn't have a dad.. Very sad for the little boy....

When you get married the other supposedly becomes the "1".
And some states are "no fault".......so one could lose half their 401K, pension, other assets.
Might be hard to go fishing for others when you've got no friggin' boat or rods.

Not saying it's right to shoot a man for having a relationship with another's wife, but that's a mighty risky game to play. There's a lot of men who would kill over it, as this tragic story points out.
