Speaking of Tomah, Wisconsin, there's a GREAT cheese place on I-94 at the Tomah HWY 21 exit called Humbird Cheese.
We stop there every year we go to my NW Wisconsin cabin.

As far as any question about the police, they did great. As far as I'm concerned, if someone shoots at the police, they can go ahead and kill him. And I'm reasonably sure the law backs my opinion here.

I'm glad the cops survived the encounter.

I've got no problem with the cops shooting until the threat was ended.

I just hope the same consideration will be given to us in the same situation since we fall under SUBSTANTIALLY the same laws for use of deadly force.

Self defense is not our ONLY concern. We also have to think about the safety of our fellow citizens. We are allowed to shoot a fleeing felon if they pose such a danger that to allow them to go would put the general public in grave danger. I think this suspect met that criteria.
