MKIII question

I recently purchaced a new MKIII 22/45 lite. After the first outing with it I hated the mag saftey feature. So, following several different you tube vids, I dissconnected it. Much better! Now the mag releases like it should. My question is, can I now use MKII 22/45 mags? MKIII mags are backordered.

You should be able to, I put a Mark ii trigger and hammer kit kit in mine and it's flawless.
