Update: The officer has been pronounced dead. Police have cordoned off a campus building, suspect is still at large.

There are explosives strewn around, entire boston police force on the scene.

Automatic fire, grenades, etc.

Sounds more and more like this might be the Boston bombers.

Report of active shooter at the Children's hospital, officers responded, confirmed that there have been NO shots fired at hospital.

One suspect in custody, reports of a second suspect possibly in custody, unconfirmed.

Was relieved to hear an officer confirm that NO shots fired at Children's hospital. Just heard they ARE on lockdown though, as expected.

Certainly seems that way, but I'm sure there are plenty of other lunatics it could be.

The officers have been talking about the presence of FBI agents on the scanner for the last 30 or more minutes, CNN only just confirmed that they were wrong and that federal agents ARE on the scene.

The picture of the one guy face down in the street doesn't look like the pictures from the bombing. What are the odds they're separate incidents in the same area within a few days.
