Looks good so far. You were busy after I left! hell, all i did was play with the kids and cook supper yesterday afternoon! How does the Hogue grip take the paint? My FN's stock is a sticky Hogue and have wanted to paint it a few tikes, but didn't know if the rubbery stuff would take the paint OK.

Put a crush washer on the birdcage first though......

I thought that was a "Tactical Sidewinder FH", it directs the gasses to the left, in order to counteract the inertia created by the brass ejecting to the right, for quicker follow-up shots.

Put a tactical brand name on it, and it'll sell :ar15:

I think the paint will wear off the hogue pretty quickly but it's a rattle can finish meant as a hunting camo finish.

The wear gives it a cool patina. It will only be perfect until the first time I take it shooting/hunting.

Like was said, the paint will come off. I would paint it and see if you like it. You can always change it back to black or a different camo pattern.
NAW,paint does not come off that easy and in some places damn near impossible
to remove, maybe just the stock and forend,it looks great as is!

Listen to the voices in your head, and paint it. I did a stock, and was not happy with it. So I striped it down, and am redoing it. I'm much happier the way it's coming out on this go around.

I like it the way it is but part of me says it needs one more color to tie everything together. Can't decide if I'd do black or khaki. Post more pics when you can. Good job!

No paint!!! Camo tape or ghillie cover, but no paint. I have a DPMS .308LR that is equipped just about like yours with the magpul butt and the SS scope and bipod. The only real difference is my DPMS target grip and SS fluted barrel. However, if you do decide to paint it, post lots of photos as I might just be interested in doing mine. Just my two cents.
