I have sung the praises of the Marlin 795 for quite some time. I think it is a top notch selection for a magazine fed .22LR plinking rifle. Best under $150 .22LR rifle on the market. Might be best under $250 .22LR rifle on the market.

Add Tech Sights and a GI sling, and you definitely have the best <$250 rifle available.

I paid $130 for my 795 at Dunhams in Mishawaka. It came with a POS scope.

Their sale price is alway on it for that.
