I owned one, briefly in Spring of 2014. I looked around all day and finally found exactly 1 later in the day. It was my gem of the show. The 2 huge, cold chisel looking, tool marks in the chamber kept it from cycling though. It ate up tips even trying. Rather quickly, I learned that Marlin had been bought out and that QC went in the toilet. Thankfully, I was able to return it and I got a Henry Big Boy instead.
I wanted receiver load gate, though. I really wanted Stainless Steel. I preferred side eject so Rossi was out. Even the check pattern looks cool.
I still want one. If you have a Marlin 1894SS in 44 mag you might want to sell, I'd like to see it and hear what you'd take for it. Bonus Points for JM stamp. Triple Double Points if I can cycle 6 Snap Caps through it.
I've seen .357 1894SS in laminate. If they made them in 44 mag, and you have one, you should quickly sell it to me. Soon.
PM me
