I'm still trying to understand this concept known as "private property".
I mean, if a man or group of men has the right to charge you for the privilege of living in your home, then may, upon non payment, remove you from your home and sell it for another to satisfy your back payments, aren't you just a renter?
Does California not have property taxes? (Of course it does)
Whatever you think the merit of the programs paid for by property taxes, make no mistake. The property is not yours. You are given license to live there, maintain it, and use it within certain limits set forth by some group of people you may or may not have ever met.
It's not yours, even if you did build that.
