I buy Backwoods Home and think it is a great mag. I read Mother Earth News at the coffee shop of B&N. They have some good articles at times but there is a lot of left wing agenda stuff thrown in there as well. Don't want my money going there.

I love the Ayoob articles in Backwoods. I was shocked such a magazine existed... true environmentalism (you know, the kind that applauds killing animals for food or overpopulation) with gun friendliness. I was hooked since my first issue! Morther Earth News has enough interesting articles for me to subscribe but you are right about the left wing-ism!

Currently I get CPU magazine, American rifelman, Popular Science, Scientific American(when they have an article that interests me), Discovery(just started my subscription to it). And occasionally, if I happen to think and peruse the mag isle when grocery shopping, I'll pick up any gun mag that has an article that catches my attention.
