Well, I had one and sold it. Picked up another today at Plainfield shooting supply and then went and put 100 rounds through her.

    I am in love:D

I recently purchased an M&P 40 from a friend. I shot it for the first time the other day. I love the way it shot. I thought it was a lot smoother shot than the glock 22 /23. Although i still am a glock fan too, I do love M&P's. I would reccomend them.

I had the M&P 45, but Im a wheel lover so I traded for Wheel Gun. I did love the way the M&P shot, I thought it had less recoil than my Bersa 380? It was my teenagers favorite gun too.

    I owned an M&P 45 for a short time.

It was the most comfortable 45acp handgun I have ever held in my hand.

I sold it for the following reasons.
    1) When I had mine, extra mags were damn near impossible to find.
    2) Inconsistant trigger pull.
    3) Lack of positive trigger reset.
    4) Didn't care for the complicated firing system.
    5) I dumped the 45acp round in general due to cost.

I know some of my reasons are purely subjective and only apply to me, and I am a Glock guy.

Other than that, I think it is a great pistol and would buy one over a similarly priced 1911.

    Hmmm...who bought it? :p

I forgot you were the reason my kid isn't getting Christmas gifts:dunno::laugh:

I am mainly a 1911 guy, I think the weight of the M&P alone is much better for carry, I think the weight with fully loaded mag the difference is about 14 oz.

My M&P 40 is quite simply the best shooter I have ever owned and that is saying something when I thought nothing could displace my Springfield 1911 or even my Sig P220. (I used to love those two equally)

The list of likes and loves about this weapon would be extensive, but it really is better than the sum of it parts. The best part is that I have never grouped shots as closely with any auto at any price.

    Highlights:

    * Through hardened barrel (Not just surface hardened)
    * Stainless steel frame reinforcement (Steel on steel slide action)
    * Fully supported chamber (No go boom)
    * 3 grip back straps (Better fit for most hands)
    * 15+1 Magazine (More fun between reloads)
    * Steel Novak Lo-Mount Carry sights (No plastic crap on top)

If I seem to be gushing about this weapon, it's because I literally cannot find anything to nitpick about it.

Psst! Don't tell Smith & Wesson that this pistol should cost a lot more.

I just bought one a while back and have yet to fire a round through it... but I am hoping to get the time to change that soon.

The M&P 45c is a great shooter also. Bought one from PPS (Bob) and love it. Smaller for CCW. 1000rd and no problems.
