    The license its self says you're required to update it within 60 days, by law. So if you're not going to be moving before 60 days, you'd be better off just paying the fee and updating it to prevent any issues, should you get questioned. Otherwise if you get questioned and you haven't updated it, it could potentially delay the process when you do go to update it. The other option is to simply use it for 60 days and then once you pass the 60 days, what ever is left, maybe go without carrying? I wouldn't like doing that, but if you're trying to save money, it'd probably be your best option.

    I wanted a new copy when I moved, it cost me 20 and it was quick and easy. I printed the form off, filled it out, sent it again with the MO and I was good to go. Arrived within a few days.
