I'm going.... probably all day Saturday. Picking up a pistol at the show that I already bought (thankyou, C&R. heh) and hoping to drive myself deeper into debt.

Wait... that just doesn't sound right.

The admission is $12.00 + $8.00 parking. There is a big car show going on in the North Wing at the same time, so parking close by the gun show is usually a problem. An Indiana resident can buy a long gun from a dealer, but has to have a handgun transferred to an Indiana FFL. An Indiana resident who buys either a long gun or handgun from a private citizen from Kentucky, without going through an FFL is in violation of the law.

What did everyone think of the show?
I was kind of disappointed. There were mostly collect type weapons and accessories there. I did not find any great deals on ammo. I was hoping to pick up some ammo cans but I didn't find any either. There were a a couple booths that had decent prices on hand guns. We got there about 12:30 and there were several booths that had already closed up.

The show was great. The two tables I had set up with an all Thompson display was a hit. 11 Thompson's on the table from the ganster era to the last West Hurley guns. Lots of people both days, I think it was a hit. Busy enough that I was only able to get out to the restroom and right back both days.

P.S. And someone walked buy on Saturday and one Sunday with an INGO shirt on, but didn't stop to say HI!

What disappointed you was what made it the best show I've ever been to. :):

Already closed up... or closed up for a lunch break?

What got me was on the Show of Shows how everyone rolled up and left at 3:45. They're worse than NSRA street rodders at a car show. :):

I was absolutely blown away by all the cool stuff.... not sure how I didn't throw down money on 4 or 5 pieces I can't afford. Glad I didn't.... but still not sure how I did it. Still managed to pick up an Astra 300 and a G43 though.

Let me say that I can go to the 1500 that I can go to the 1500 and not see too much I truly crave...but at the National Gun Day shows I really have to exercise self-control!

I love the Louisville show. Picked up a few books, an izzy, and a sling. My brother bought an AR and some swag for it plus 500 223 and 500 9mm. Our friend picked up 1k 7.62x38.

If I had not just got alot of first aid stuff from work I would have spent alot more buying some of that stuff.

I had a good time. I got in Friday night with a dealer friend of mine. That's where I saw the good deals. I saw a G43 for $1200. I was kicking it around because it had a repo stock on it. Went back 10 minutes later and it was gone. I also saw a couple of USGI 1911's for $900. By Saturday all the GI 1911's seemed to be $1400 plus. There were, as always, lots of neat displays and historic items.

I'm going to have to work on that dealer angle and get in on Friday next time... that and have a fat wad of cash in hand. :)

Why go to an out of state show where you can't buy a gun there.A waste of time in my opinion.
