So last night I got my rubber work glove stuck in a conveyor belt and it started to work my hand into the drive mechanism. Had to rip my hand away so that it would not all get mangled. Ended up losing up to the first joint of my trigger finger and mangled part of my pinky and ring finger.

Assume those are selfies. You are a tough hombre. Worked in factories for 30+ years. Saw many such injuries. Still makes my knees weak. Good luck with rehab. Middle finger works well on most firearms.

speaking of using the middle finger.. point shooting would be great.. assuming the index finger can extend straight enough down the side of the firearm.

Ouch! I hope they gave you a nice block with a long-acting numbing agent. Did a hand surgeon see you that night, or are you following up for a formal stump revision?

Glad you are ok. That two seam fastball just turned into a one seam wobbler. Do tell, which took more restraint, the incident on site or the needle probing at the hospital?

Ouch! Glad you didn't lose more. I never wore gloves around any machinery for this reason. I've seen too many people hurt. I hope you have a speedy recovery and are able to get full use of your hand back!

Glad you weren't hurt worse which it could have been easily.

My dad lost a finger to the first knuckle on a table saw at work. He was well compensated. Maybe you can get a few new guns with some of the money.
