    Um, yeah.

Guess it was laying in the road after being hit by car and being eaten by wolves. Could have been flung into an upright position by a plow truck going by and stuck into the drift.

Imagine walking in the woods late and night a seeing that thing walking
    along next to you.........:runaway: :D

I'd say something more like wolves or a polar bear. But if it was zombies.... I hope Santa has an arsenal in his workshop :D
Eh, I'm going to vote birds did most of the "picking". The lower side of the animal is untouched, it doesn't appear that any bones are broken (bear or wolf can easily break/crunch bones) so I'm voting that something tore it open to get at the each meat, and birds did most of the picking clean.

Still, as to how it happened would be interesting to know. I suppose it could be possible that the snow at the side of the road was just thick enough and there was a crust of ice on top. This critter could've been hit, and took it final few steps into that firm/crusted snow, and it was solid enough to support the legs. I think it would be unlikely that a snow-plow rolled it up there like that, but I suppose its possible.
