The manual says to store it that way ?

If there isn't a round in the chamber, the selector cannot be set to safe. I store mine that way, too.

AR 15 to safe

Doesn't matter if there is a round in the chamber or not, if the weapon is charged (with or without a round in the tube) you can safety it, if the trigger is pulled (or dry fired) then the weapon cannot be selected to the safety position (as is the way I store mine also).

Nice Kiss AR. If you find the A2 length stock to be too long see if you can find a A1 stock.
