Looking for a source to get some printed load data on WC844. I will be using and 55gr M193 pulldowns and I'm trying to find a good .223 starting load for it. I have read that I should reference H335 but would like to get some opinions first.:D

When I started using WC844 I treated it the same as H335. Start low and work your loads up like a normal new load.

Please note, There are variances from lot to lot, so whenever you open a new jug with a different lot number, do it all again.

Just curious how can there be such variances??

I'll be honest, I have no idea. I have been told from numerous sources that you should work up new lot #'s. I am about half way through my first 8 pounder, my second is a different lot. You bet you bottom dollar I'm gonna chrono them to see if that is true or not.

I've used 25.0 gr in several different .223 semi (and full) autos and had acceptable accuracy and 100% function. It has been an accurate load in a 700P and my heavy barreled AR.

I'm around 24.7 with H335, and that shoots great for both 55gr and 62gr pull downs. I might be a little bit lower on velocity that "mil-spec" but I'm also not pushing my brass as hard since I plan to continue to reload.

I started to see pressure signs over 25.0 grains when seating 62 gr SS109 projectiles to the canelure.
