Yup. I struggle with that but hey, its just the Rhoads scholar's among us that get edgy over this triviality.....:):

I might tease someone about spelling or grammar (usually only if I see an opportunity to make a joke), but I don't go on about it. I admit I try and be as precise (and correct) as I can, but a lot of that is habit from having been in programming for so long. A misspelled word, or a comma or period in the wrong place can have vastly different effects on the outcome in a computer program. And much like spell check won't catch the difference between their, there or they're, the compiler will happily tell you everything is okay. That is, until you try and run the program and it blows up, or worse, spits out a bunch of garbage data. :):

Edit: Oh by the way, it's Rhodes. :p

I had no idea what I was supposed to be doing : /

    Not you my brother. BigRed.
People respond to a post and do not use the reply with quote function so we are all scrambling trying to make sense of something. I stopped scrambling.
I respond to what I see in a post. If you missed a step thats on you. (Not you this time :))

You’re doing fine. If you ever think “should I say this”, then don’t. Occasionally we get a little rambunctious, but this is the most civil place I’ve seen on the internet that has a political section. If you see a mod pop in a thread with a  usually best to leave the thread or stop discussing whatever you’re discussing. Mods here are a pretty cool bunch, they’ll give hints and warnings before showing you the door so take the hints when given and you’ll be fine.

Unless you wanna start a thread calling the mods a bunch of names and ranting about the members. Those are always amusing for us, maybe not so much for the guy that gets banned tho.

Also, purple is used when joking or being sarcastic. Get thick skin, you’ll be fine.

This is most excellent advice. It should be required reading for everyone coming into this place.

Lol, thanks. I wasn’t going to say anything to him, but when I first joined I felt the same way he is. I was nervous about going over the line, or if something I posted would get me hammered. After being here a couple years I’ve learned it’s like a big family, as long as you don’t post something that’s obviously over the line you’ll be fine. People look out for eachother, and even when we do get heated the mods will give warnings and let us know when we’re getting out of hand. You can tell they don’t want to ban anyone, and the members are always helping other members when they ask if they can in any way. It’s really a great group to be part of.
