That's right, I restated your argument and correctly identified it as neo-isolationist, rather than socialist/liberal. You are at least consistent. I don't agree with you, but you're consistent.

Maybe if we minded our own business we wouldn't have to worry about who wanted what from us, when and how. We wouldn't have to clean the egg off our faces, and justify bombing Al Qaeda on one continent and subsidizing them on another. We might be one step closer towards balancing our budgets and away from being NATO/UN's b****.

And to think that meddling never caused any violent blowback is myopic. It has, does, and will again.

For crying out loud, you are so illogical sometimes it's maddening. You constantly introduce irrelevant information and unstated premises that have absolutely nothing to do with the direction of the conversation.

Myopic because you can never see a position outside of your anti-government rhetoric. Nothing in my statement disagrees that the U.S. has a history of involving itself in conflicts it has no business being in. Nothing in my statement so much as hinted that such involvement was without consequence.

If our involvement is universally unacceptable, then it is unacceptable even when it might help those who ***** about it. Clearly, they don't complain when they benefit. Your opinion on our involvement is rather extraneous to my point because it doesn't matter whether YOU think it's meddling or not.

I don't really understand where you are coming from. If this is stupid and useless, then why is it unfair to call it meddling? Why would it be isolationist to not involve ourselves in Libya's civil war?

I can't speak for him, but you just brilliantly highlighted how much you missed my point. Thank you.

Suddenly U.S....what was the word someone just used? Oh, yes, meddling. Suddenly U.S. meddling doesn't seem the evil thing to these people. Oh, that's right. It's not meddling and interference when we're helping them.

Does this bely the argument then that their actions against us are the result of our foreign policy?
Obama's meddling in affairs that don't concern us endanger us all. Looks like you're taking one of your famous leaps again. The US shouldn't be involved in Libya, at any level. Bush certainly involved us with them. He used rendition on the current rebel military leader and likely created another enemy by turning the man over to Ghaddaffi. That's what meddling does.

And if we could all see the future clearly, we might not make mistakes (improbable but possible). But we can't see the future and those who must make decisions make them without the benefit of the 20/20 hindsight the Monday Morning Quarterbacks enjoy.

So? What was their motivation? I'm sure it was totally oozing with compassion and self sacrifice for the American colonists. The French had been to war with Native American tribes, and they agreed with American expansion. Britain did not agree with American expansion. Does that mean they didn't like us and were just using us? Who knows? It sure seems like we've done the same to Middle Eastern countries in the past. Were our intentions good or bad? Did it protect our national security? Was it in self defense? I think those are questions that need to be answered with certainty before a war can be justified.

You have absolutely missed my point. This has ZERO, ZILCH, ZIP to do with whether or not we should meddle.

    My famous leaps? Please elaborate.
