Liberty and Tyranny

I just finished reading "Liberty and Tyranny, a Conservative Manifesto" by Mark Levin, who has a radio show on Sirius Patriot. I sometimes think that he is loud and brash on his program, but I have to admit that he is an excellent author, and he has put forth some excellent views on Conservatism, and the state of decline that Our Nation is currently in, not just from the current administration, but also due to actions and policies of previous administrations.

Anyone here read it yet and have any opinions on it? I know that owning this book will probably get me on a watch list, but since I am already considered a Right Wing Extremist, WTH. I even bought it in Bloomington, which suprised me, since B-Town is a very liberal area!

Of course its a liberal area...its a college town!!! Warm fuzzy everyone should live as equals no matter how hard they work for it!

I'm sure its a good book, just about 7 yrs too late. We should now be reading books 0n how to prepare for self sustained life and the self-destruction of society...IMO. All in due time.

I'm not quite half way through it. Well written, thoroughly researched (with citations), a very intense book.

I'd be willing to loan it out as soon as I'm done, as long as everybody remembers where it came from. I'd like it back.

I don't think it's too late. If nothing else, think of it as a primer for restarting things. Hope for the best, prepare for the worst.

The liberal professor and administration only prescribe that for everyone else. They are a bunch of prima donnas who treat those who work at labor type jobs at IU as dirt beneath their feet. A more smug, hypocritical, loathsome group of grasping, covetous sinners you're not likely to ever meet.

Since leftsock likes to whine when HE receives negative feedback, I would like to point out he gave me negative feedback for this observation. I have never complained about any negs I've gotten but the shear hypocrisy of this guy is galling. One hypocritical, liberal jackass defending his other buddy hypocritical, liberal jackasses. Um, you just posted negative feedback for me on a totally unrelated post for a totally unrelated reason. I haven't posted much, so you must have searched pretty hard for one that you haven't dinged me on yet.

You even said to me in one of those dings, "Right, and this is me showing my disagreement, that's why one of the buttons says 'I disapprove.'"

So, in turn, I disapprove on this one. Heck, I've given you positive feedback on post that I've enjoyed!

These professors and administrators worked hard to get their positions. I thought you were for individuals receiving the rewards of their individual labors.

I haven't gotten around to reading this particular book yet, but i would think that you should be thrilled that it has such availability in so-called "liberal" zones.

I would defend your ability to say what you please, even though you're a jerk and I might not agree, but I can only suspect that you wouldn't do the same for me because you don't like me for <whatever reason>.

I don't see how it's the administrators and professors' responsibility to provide for this "everyone else." Wouldn't it be against your standard position to allow equal access to everyone despite their individual work? Or perhaps we should ask, who exactly are they "shutting out" and of what are they being shut out?

You're being intentionally dense, the complaint was about what they say others should do versus what they actually do themselves, like my complaint about you. It's obvious, others understand it. You simply now want to continue the argument.
