    Anyway you can get a picture of the interior that shows how the system locks up?
    Ok here ya go. The "nut" has 2 bosses on the side that locate in the smaller "holes" a screw goes thru the movable jaw, and engages the nut. Being the nut has cylinder bosses, and the bore for the screw is over sized, coupled with the concave radius in the jaw and corresponding convex radius on the screw boss, allow the nut and screw to swing and lock the jaw up on the work.
    This is commonly called a screwless vise or a tool maker vise.

    One of my top three least favorite knives I’ve made and someone asked me to make another. The original was just something I winged the design on to use up a scrap piece of steel. View attachment 383216View attachment 383217

    The blade is a bit wide for my liking, but a short workhorse like that can be very useful .... and comfortable when carried horizontal.. :thumbsup:
