Think what hasn't been sorted yet was all the scraps we got at KOG.

I’m a glutton for punishment… hand sanding steel gets pretty tiring but I love the way a full polish looks. Hollow ground bevels, bloodwood scales.

Trying out a new sheath design. Should be pretty comfortable on the back hip when sitting. Still waiting on it to dry out completely so I can try it out.

Ok here ya go. The "nut" has 2 bosses on the side that locate in the smaller "holes" a screw goes thru the movable jaw, and engages the nut. Being the nut has cylinder bosses, and the bore for the screw is over sized, coupled with the concave radius in the jaw and corresponding convex radius on the screw boss, allow the nut and screw to swing and lock the jaw up on the work.
This is commonly called a screwless vise or a tool maker vise.

The blade is a bit wide for my liking, but a short workhorse like that can be very useful .... and comfortable when carried horizontal..
