Wow, sorta late in getting to this article, but I am glad I read it. Kudos to this Marine for his service and for bringing this to the attention of others it might help. It is very disturbing to me that the things we teach in our basic Fighting Rifle Skills class, (and taught by many others) were not taught to this young man by a orginization with a multibillion dollar budget. It is good to hear from recent service members that some of this is changing. I have said it before, but maybe not here, I am much better trained now, than I ever was as an US Army infantryman or as a police officer.
