leather or plastic holster?

I would love to have a quality black leather holster for my 1911, just so expensive. But quality aint cheap!

Thanks again for all the feedback. I really like the look and feel of leather but I do feel like its a little wrong to put a plastic gun in such a beautiful holster. I think I am going to reserve the leather for my next handgun. (hopefully a Nickel 1911)

How sure are you? Don't know where your own holsters come from?

I have no plastic guns, so I can only speak to the leather holsters, my favorites being the US made Bianchi 5BHL for revolvers, and the 5L for auto's. I have several of each that I bought in the seventies, and still work very well - and nothing looks as nice as a leather holster.
That's my opinion, anyway ..........
