I liked the ones that were labeled "Fish Steaks in Louisiana Hot Sauce". They had just the right burn. Used to eat them all the time but I haven't seen them in the store for a while.

You're correct. I was at the store yesterday and picked up a few cans of the now defunct Beach Cliffs. The store also carried King Oscar brand. I'm sure they're quite good, but really is over $2 a can going get me to buy them? Nope. If they're replaced on the shelves, (with a comparably priced item) look for it to come from China or somewhere else in Asia. I'll likely start buying Moroccan sardines from my local Arab market.

Can't say I've ever had them, but I hate to see a US business close. But i do have a fishing buddy who eats them every time we go camping, he will be devastated.
