This is very cool. Much like a power washer I think I would keep trying to find rusty parts to work on. Is it really this straight forward to use? The sound of the thing working makes me picture a pretty heavy voltage and current draw.

They didn't list prices. If you have to ask, you can't afford it. :)

They do have a bunch of versions- from backpack-sized models up to full industrial versions.

FWIW, there is no way to get back the metal that has been converted to oxides without a chemical reduction reaction (which is not taking place from what I understand). If the item is pitted, this device won't get rid of the pits, just the metal oxides on the surface. Nearly any laser can do this but this one is specifically designed with a wide beam to cover more area at once.

IMHO, very cool device, but very specialized and offers no improvement over the actual rust cleanup and only offers marginal improvement over the non-functional aspects of rust-removal (less mess, no blasting grit to clean up etc)... at a HUGE cost increase... I'll take a sand-blaster, electrolysis, or chemical means... I'm a cheap-skate...

Just to be clear, I'm not craping on this thread or the technology, just pointing out that it's not a miracle restoration tool.
