Would you carry a 63 pound 20 shot laser rifle? 15 pound rifle /cable and 45 pound battery and capacitor back pack for you to carry in the battlefield. It can also be attached to a generator for more shots until it overheats.

You know what would be cool? A much lighter laser rifle just kinda good for paper punching. Think of the older .22 flobert gallery rifles. Not meant to kill anyone, just pure plinking.

I imagine if there are flashlights that can light things on fire there must be small-ish commercially available lasers that can, right?

I'd absolutely love one to mess around with. Show it off to friends, at parties, etc. but that's about my extent of interest in it right now. Lemme know when we get to Star Wars/Trek advancement in laser guns (phasers).
