I'm not up on Lake County politics. Are the powers that be just mad that he didn't share or is he taking one for the team?

The mayor of Hammond runs the Democratic party up here for the region. The Sheriff was getting power hungry and not following orders anymore. He thought he could cross Da Boss. He messed up and DA Boss took care of him.

So long as the next sheriff follows the wishes of McCheese or at least stays out of the way. The side bus will continue and the political machine will roll on.

Mind you it will never be the same, nor has it since ec mayor Patrick left. No one crosses him and if they did it was handled internally. It did not involve the feds or the newspapers.
