I actively try and keep down the number of calibers..

There is probably only a couple more calibers I may end up with because there are a number of Italian hand guns in them I may end up with. That or I keep looking at the French 1935 pistols in that weird caliber. There is one that keeps showing up at the Stout Field gun show because the ammo is so weird no one buys it. He wants next to nothing for it.

I'm really just kidding, I try to do the same. I realized that buying a new gun with a new caliber also meant stocking a new round. It can get out of hand.

Yeah and even I screwed that up sort of.. I could have gotten the M1 Garand with a 7.62 Nato barrel and saved getting 30-06.

But then I found this IHC M1 garand and couldn't bring myself to part the as built rifle and barrel.
Worked out anyway. I put all my 7.62NATO (and 5.56 Nato) on strippers.. and the Garand uses those incompatible 8 round clips.
So I was gonna have to keep 7.62 on incompatible clips in different cans anyway.

Not sure you could see straight after shooting that 4-bore. The concussion in a concrete room would be... unpleasant.
I did some research, and it turns out its an 8 gauge (8 Bore)

Still gonna be unpleasant to cork off in that room.

You're forgetting to account for the sound absorbing qualities of the giant slug they're shooting at.

My memories of that scene were of how unnatural and clumsy the gun handling was. Almost as if they'd never held those weapons before.
I guess expecting an HK MP5 slap out of Mr. Keaton was stretching it a bit.

Did you see the ammo they brought out? That was not an 8-bore. Perhaps wrong ammo for the right gun, but that was a 4-bore casing. Darn movie people getting it wrong again. Maybe they did it for size effect. I'll go ask my wife.

    Wait......you mean a .700 Nitro Express won't chamber in a 45/70 Springfield Trapdoor?
I'm sure it will. I saw it in a movie.
