heh, we need to all meet at a Kroger one night. Like thirty of us.

Go in one at a time, next guy doesn't go until five minutes after the last guy gets escorted out.

Doesn't matter what you look like - if an establishment has issues with carriers, you're going to have problems. All you can do is leave and avoid the trespass charge - you're not going to change their minds.

That being said I'd sure like to leave a cart full of ice cream sitting about.

I wonder if it is an inner-city thing. I regularly carry (semi-OC - no attempt to hide) into our local, rural Kroger. Never a problem. Then again, there is no need for a security guard out here.

Anybody on the NW side of Indy remember metal detectors (if that's what they were) at the Marshs @ 86th & Ditch and also 56th & Georgetown?

That Kroger is awful! Only one entrance/exit, small, crowded store. You get that many people in there together and you're inviting crime.

I've never OC'd per se at Kroger, but I have "less than half butt concealed" and never been stopped. I go to the one at 10th and Linwood which is known for murders in the parking lot (at least until they started staffing 1-2 officers in the lot 24X7 - Woot for the LEOs posting up at the right spot, can't recall of hearing about any violent crime in a while).

I was at the CVS last week in the same lot and had no problems, again not a full OC but when you have 2 inches of stainless steel exposed with a .45 barrel inside it's pretty easy to see. That and I did get several discreet "Looks", there was also much talk about batteries (which I was buying). Same thing with the Dollar General there.

Now that I'm really thinking about it, I've never been asked about it. I've only had my LTCH since October, so I know it's coming sooner or later. Funny it seems like I've been carrying forever now. Gotten pretty use the the Ruger on my side 24X7 (except at work).

x2 I carry in the local Kroger all the time. I don't OC, but my G-23 is often no more concealed than a paddle holster with an unbuttoned shirt loosely over it. The concept of a security guard at a Kroger amuses me.

I have OC'd at my local Kroger many times without incident. I hope it continues or they are going to lose quite a bit of money as my teenager seemingly eats his body weight in food every day! :)

Nevermind I found the answer to my question in a later post.
Me I would not have bought anything & just walked out after talking to the manager.
Where is that link to the post with the OC/CC & LTCH IN wallet cards at?
Anyone got the link. I carry some of those but don't know where the link is anymore.

Not sure if you meant that you found the link you were looking for or not, but here is the image you're thinking of. When I saw it on here some time ago, I downloaded it for easier access.

Haha, yeah that sounds... fun. I mean, we'd have to make sure everybody was stable and nobody tried to make a big scene about it or be douches, but I think it would be an interesting experiment. I'll keep my eyes open for a planning thread about it, and if I can make it, I will.

I just OCd at Kroger in Goshen a couple days ago. I didn't have any problems. The only thing I noticed was at the self checkout the please wait for attendant came up and the lady looked over and cancelled that.

I CC, but sometimes I'll just wear my gun on my belt with a shirt over it, and have done this weekly for years at my local Kroger, without any incident, ever. I have never seen "no guns" signs there either. Of course, I'm practically in Kentucky here, and they are a lot less uptight about it across the crick.:D

Hmmm, good luck finding a grocery store that IS gun friendly. If I avoided anti-gun grocery stores I would go hungry. Stay concealed and carry on.

County Market and the Super Wal-mart in Crawfordsville. OC'd in both plenty of times. Might be a bit of a drive.

Haven't tried the Kroger here. I don't shop there anyway, their prices are non-competitive.

I should qualify my statement to mean Indianapolis area stores. I'm such a city boy. It would not surprise me at all to see the more rural stores to be better adjusted to the sight of a pistol in a holster. Urban areas are much more touchy.

but the Kroger the OP originally talked about on 16th , is used to seeing guns , it's just the ones they see aren't in holsters , same goes for the 10th and Linwood store too :D
